On an enchanting, three-century old wine estate (Anno 1691), only 4km from South Africa's second oldest town, Stellenbosch, Asara Wine Estate has risen over the past seven years to become one of the Cape's most exclusive Wineland destinations. Here, a spacious, modern 37 bed-roomed hotel, including 3 generous suites, opened in May, 2008.
Guests can indulge in five-star luxury accommodation, fine wine tastings, superb service, and gourmet & casual dining in either of the two restaurants, Raphael's and Bistro & Tapas @ ASARA.
All facilities boast spectacular views, with their tranquil waterside setting, backed by the grandeur of the Stellenbosch- and Helderberg mountains and vineyards, providing an idyllic backdrop. Accommodation
Executive Suite
Named after Asara's most prestigious wine, the Avalon Suite offers its valued guest a slice of opulence in the heart of the vineyards.
The stylishly decorated suite consists of a spacious king sized bedroom with a large walk-in cupboard, a luxurious en-suite bathroom fitted with a jet bath, as well as a private lounge with an open fireplace - perfect for those cold, winter nights.
Its private balcony offers spectacular views of the Estate's well-maintained vineyards as well as panoramic views of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains.
It is equipped with air conditioning, a fully stocked mini bar, hair dryer, electronic safe, satellite television and a DVD player as well as tea and coffee making facilities for your use.
Honeymoon Suite
This unique three-storey tower is named after Asara's Flagship wine, the Bell Tower, and will be the perfect end to your special day.
A spiral staircase links the spacious king sized bedroom to the luxurious bathroom, and to the lounge area with a romantic roaring fire.
It is equipped with air conditioning, a fully stocked mini bar, hair dryer, electronic safe, satellite television and a DVD player as well as tea and coffee making facilities for your use.
Family Suite
The Vineyard Suite consists of two stylishly decorated bedrooms, two bathrooms, a communal lounge and a private terrace that offers views of the Estate's vineyards as well as panoramic views of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains.
Perfect for the whole family, both rooms can either be made up with king sized, or twin beds, whichever bests suits your needs. The main en-suite bathroom has a bath and separate shower, whilst the second bathroom is equipped with a shower.
It is also equipped with air conditioning, a fully stocked mini bar, hair dryer, electronic safe, satellite television and a DVD player as well as tea and coffee making facilities for your use.
Deluxe Rooms
Asara Wine Estate & Hotel has 18 Deluxe Rooms spread throughout the estate. Each stylishly decorated room has its own private balcony or terrace which offers spectacular views over the vineyards and surrounding mountains as well as en-suite bathroom facilities.
All bedrooms are equipped with a fully stocked mini bar, hairdryer, satellite television, telephone, tea & coffee making facilities as well as an electronic safe. All rooms can easily be converted from king sized to separate twin beds - whichever suits you best.
Courtyard Room
Asara Wine Estate & Hotel has 4 standard Courtyard Rooms situated in the heart of the main hotel. Each room is open plan with an en-suite bathroom and has its own private terrace overlooking the courtyard area. All bedrooms are equipped with mini bar, hairdryer, satellite television, telephone, coffee making facilities and electronic safe. These rooms can be double or twin bedded.
Classic Deluxe Room
Asara Wine Estate & Hotel has 10 Classic Deluxe Rooms spread throughout the estate. Each stylishly decorated room has its own private balcony or terrace which offers spectacular views over the vineyards and surrounding mountains as well as en-suite bathroom facilities.
All bedrooms are equipped with a fully stocked mini bar, hairdryer, satellite television, telephone, tea & coffee making facilities as well as an electronic safe. All rooms can easily be converted from king sized to separate twin beds.

Asara Wine Estate & Hotel not only offers the highest standard of accommodation and service, but we also pride ourselves on providing premier levels in dining, using only the finest and freshest ingredients.
We have various different venues on the estate including the main Asara restaurant, Raphael's, the more informal Bistro & Tapas @ Asara as well as our Sansibar Cigar & Whisky lounge.
